Experian
Innovating data services with Azure & Machine Learning.
Experian is a global information services group with operations in 40 countries, providing business and consumer services around credit, marketing, fraud, and identity as well as helping clients solve problems and drive better decisions with analytics.
Experian initially sought endjin's help in developing a new proposition that required data science and machine learning experimentation over unstructured text to develop a predictive model, which formed the core of a new innovative consumer data service.
We needed a quick answer about whether something was even possible with the data available. Endjin helped us to focus our hypothesis, then used Machine Learning experiments to cut the discovery down from months to weeks.
The success of this engagement led to future projects with other business units and, in 2016, the Data Quality team asked endjin to help re-platform their on-premise data deduplication platform into the Cloud.
Through a production quality, proof-of-concept architectural blueprint, based on current best practices around Azure cloud architecture - orchestration with Azure Data Factory, DevOps tooling and processes withAzure DevOps, and operational monitoring with Application Insights - endjin demonstrated how to run flexible, extensible and scalable, multi-tenant, polyglot data processing pipelines in the cloud.
The solution endjin delivered served as a reference architecture for other similar systems within Experian to enable moving more workloads to a best practice cloud model.
